This particular volume focuses on the life of one of independent Kenya's most flamboyant politicians; Josiah Mwangi Kariuki, popularly known as JM. It is a life full of nationalist agitation, fight for the rights of the poor and landless, and determination to fight neo-colonialism. JM was modest and philanthropic up to the time he was assassinated in March 1975.
