Njung’wa is a three-legged traditional Agīkūyū stool that was used by man to rest in his thingira or taken outside to the 'booi-inī’ where he would advise his male children on cultural matter.

Our one-piece njūng’wa has been hand-carved, by master wood carvers, from the traditionally-used trees of Mūringa, Mūrurī and Mūthaitī. The designs are original Agīkūyū designs that were used by wise-elders (athamaki). They have been smoke-aged with sweet smelling olive wood to give them a rustic finish and antique smell.

Size: 14” diameter, 14” height
